ABOUT THE HOSPITAL
TLM Muzaffarpur Hospital was established in the year 1904.
The Mission to Lepers (now, The Leprosy Mission Trust India) started a small leprosy home to cater to the needs of people affected by leprosy who had been driven away from their homes, in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, in 1904. The leprosy hospital which started with 40 beds has now become a full-fledged hospital, where thousands of people from several districts of Bihar and adjacent states come for treatment for leprosy and other general ailments.
The facilities provided by the hospital include consulting rooms, in-patient rooms, operating theatre, laboratory services, ECG services, X-ray services, counselling, physiotherapy, pharmacy, MCR protective footwear and artificial limbs.
